Planning my own wedding changed the way I saw the wedding industry.
Like so many couples, I quickly realised that finding the right venue and the right suppliers wasn't just about beautiful spaces or impressive portfolios. It was about finding people who genuinely understood us, respected our values and made us feel completely comfortable from the very beginning.
As a same-sex couple, one question kept coming up throughout our planning journey.
"Are they same-sex friendly?"
It wasn't a question we wanted to ask, but it was one we felt we had to. And every time we did, it reminded me that planning a wedding should never involve wondering whether you'll be welcomed, celebrated or simply tolerated.
That experience became the inspiration behind I Choose You Wedding Co.

I created ICY Weddings Co because I believe every couple deserves honest, independent guidance.
I'm not here to recommend venues or suppliers because they're convenient or because of preferred partnerships.
I'm here to help you find the people, places and experiences that genuinely fit your story.

A little about me
Before launching ICY Wedding Co, I built my career across hospitality, events, venue operations and business development, leading teams and coordinating weddings and events across the Hunter Valley.
Working within the wedding industry has given me a unique perspective on what happens behind the scenes. I've managed everything from venue enquiries and site inspections to supplier coordination, timelines, logistics and wedding-day delivery. I know how many moving parts come together behind a day that should feel effortless to the people at the heart of it.
That experience shapes the way I plan. I care about the details, but I also understand the bigger picture: how venues operate, how suppliers work together, where problems tend to arise and what needs to happen to keep everything moving.
For me, great wedding planning isn't about taking over your wedding. It's about giving you the guidance, organisation and confidence to enjoy creating it

From there, I'll help you navigate the decisions ahead, find the right people and places, and keep your plans moving forward with clarity and confidence.
